Bridal Shower Punch - Five Perennial Favorites

Food is a major factor for anyone who is hosting a bridal shower, even if it is help in a relaxed setting such as the backyard. You should carefully plan the food and drinks to make sure that you can stay within your budget. When planning your food, it is also important to figure out what type of drinks that you will serve. You should have options available such as soda and water, but bridal shower punch is usually the first thing that comes to mind. Not only does it make a great centerpiece, it is a nice drink mixture that will go a long way, even on a tight budget. Not every kind of punch works for every type of bridal shower. The following are some favorite bridal shower punch recipes.

One of the top selections is Citrus Punch. Citrus punch is preferred especially in the summertime. Women in citrus producing states love to make this recipe because it can be made from the lemons and oranges that they grow in their own backyards. The ingredients are easy to obtain and anyone should be able to enjoy this punch. Simply purchase two cans of frozen orange juice and two cans of frozen lemonade. Combine the two juices. To this add eight cans of water, two cups of grenadine, and three quarts of ginger ale. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. If you happen to have fresh lemons, use the juice of three fresh lemons. Mix the punch a little more and garnish with fresh lemon and orange slices. This punch is also a favorite for the kids!

If you live in a cooler climate or are planning a winter wedding, Citrus Punch may not be the best choice for your shower. A Hot and Spicy Punch may be better suited for this occasion. The ingredients are fairly simple. All you need are two cups of cider and two cups of 7-Up. Mix them together well. Next add one cup of orange juice, the juice from one large lemon, a half cup of brown sugar and a pinch of salt to this mixture. Add one tablespoon of whole cloves, a half teaspoon of allspice and three or four sticks of cinnamon to a large tea bag. This teabag may be created using a couple of coffee filters. You can also use a piece of cheese cloth. Place the bag into the mixture and boil it for about five minutes. After boiling for five minutes, remove the spices and enjoy the punch while it is warm.

If you are in need of a punch that is easy to fix and is easy on the wallet, Hawaiian Punch may work well for you. Take a quick trip to your local grocery store and pick up two one-liter bottles of commercially mixed red punch, a can of pineapple juice and a can of pineapple bits. Mix all of this together and your punch is ready to go. Quick, inexpensive and delicious.

If you are planning a shower that only adults will attend, it is perfectly okay to serve alcoholic bridal shower punch. To add a twist to Hawaiian Punch, combine one gallon of pineapple juice, one quart of vodka, A lemon-lime soda, and brandy. Add some lime juice for a little extra flavor. Serve the mixture chilled.

To serve a more customary Champagne Bridal Shower Punch, pick a gallon of your favorite white wine to use as your base. Next add four bottles of champagne, two bottles of ginger ale, and several cutes of ice. Whenever you plan to serve alcoholic beverages, it is very important that no children will be present. Make sure that no one who has had too much to drink is allowed to drive home.
